Outings are a part of a child’s education and at certain times throughout the year the children will be taken on day trips to help advance their awareness of life outside of Limehouse Day Nursery. Parents will be notified of outings well in advance. Children may be asked to bring specialist clothes or equipment, like wellies for a trip to a farm. There may be a small fee to pay towards the trip. Limehouse Day Nursery provides packed lunches and refreshments.

Appropriate adult to child ratios are in effect at all times.

The safety of children while on outings is a priority. We carefully assess the risks or hazards which may arise for the children, and identify the steps to be taken to remove, minimise and manage those risks and hazards.

Appropriate insurances are in place at all times including for drivers and vehicles in which children are being transported during outings.
